from producing this clip, we learned that to maintain continuity throughout the clip, we have to make sure that the characters are holding their props in exactly the same positions as the clip that came before it; as this makes the events that take place in the clip make sense. since we had one of the characters with a stick in one part of a clip but not the next, we had to change the way that the clip was structured through editing, so we were able to make the sequence make sense.
It is also important to make sure that your characters are standing or starting from the same positions as the clip before it; otherwise the characters look as though they have "randomly moved somewhere" and therefore the event in the clip makes no sense. Making sure that the shots we use, such as shots/reverse shots as well as an over the shoulder shot and establishing shots were included in the sequence was also an important element to the production of the film sequence.
